Fee Protection Insurance

Fee Protection Insurance is provided under a policy which pays your accountancy fees for the additional work which results when the Tax and VAT authorities open an enquiry. This might concern your business accounts or your personal tax returns, and includes disputes about PAYE, NIC or VAT. In any enquiry, the burden of proof is on the taxpayer, and the enquiry needs to be handled by people with a specialist understanding of enquiry work.
